Wooded lakeshore, wetlands and grasslands. Educational themes focus on history, wildlife and plant life. Significant U.S.-Dakota Conflict historic site. Self-guiding trail. Interpretive signs at cabin sites and marsh overlook. Interpretive center with exhibits on the lake, settler life, and wildlife is accessible to mobility aids. New interpretive center exhibits will be open late 1996. Summer season naturalist.
