Environmental Education Advisory Task Force
Final Meeting Notes May 6, 2010
Members Present: Pete Cleary, Lee Ann Landstrom, David Weinand, Patty Born Selly, John Olson, Lynne Markus, Dawn Flinn, Jeff Ledermann, Tracy Fredin, Amy Markle
Members Absent: Tony Bormann, Tom Moffatt, Nate Meyer
Staff Present: Dave Benke, Rick Patraw, John Ikeda, Mike Kennedy, Colleen Schoenecker
Chairman, Pete Cleary, started the meeting at 12:35 p.m.

Mike Kennedy thanked all of the members for their hard work and time they dedicated to the EEATF. The task force was given three assignments at the start which were WE3, ELM and the Program Planning Guide. Mike provided a background and highlights of each of the projects.
Colleen Schoenecker provided a hand-out showing the use of the WE3 documents on the SEEK Web site.
The future of the Program Planning Guide is not certain, but there are ideas of using it in other areas at the MPCA. If anyone would like the information, please contact Mike Kennedy.
ELM is still going and will be expiring on June 30, 2010. The final report is due from Mike on June 10, 2010. MAEE is working on possible of ways to sustain ELM.
Mike added that the networking done through the EEATF was another positive accomplishment. Successes stem from networking. He thanked everyone for communicating what they were working on each month. The hope is that this will continue, even without a formal meeting setting.
David Benke thanked all of the EEATF members for the success of the task force and distributed certificates of appreciation. He hopes that environmental education can be incorporated into other areas of the MPCA's work, even though it is a time of change.
Motion: Lee Ann Landstrom moved to approve the March 4, 2010, EEATF minutes; John Olson seconded the motion; motion passed unanimously 9/0/0.
All EEATF members shared their reflections of the time spent with the task force and the positive work that was accomplished.
