It's an honor that might be better than "most likely to succeed." Students at Parkview Center School in Roseville, Minnesota, are now winners of an Emmy Award for their video on recycling at their school.
The 10-minute video, "Boxes, Bottles and Banana Peels," is a fun-yet-informative tutorial that stars Parkview kids explaining their school's recycling program.
The project, a collaboration that includes the school, the city of Roseville and Ramsey County Public Health, won first place in the 2011 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards in the "education/schools -- program/special/series" category.
"A video that inspires students to recycle at school can also motivate them to recycle more at home. So a joint project such as this benefits everyone," Tim Pratt, recycling coordinator for the city of Roseville, said in a statement.
