Jeffers Foundation Announces WRAP Award Recipients

In February of 2012 all public and non-public schools in Minnesota were afforded the opportunity to apply for the Jeffers Foundation State WRAP (Waste Reduction Awareness Program) Award. On Monday, April 23 the Award winners were announced. They were:

  • Bayview Elementary School in Waconia
  • Clara Barton School in Minneapolis
  • Garlough Environmental Magnet School in West St. Paul


  • Each of these schools will receive a cash award of $5,000 and a plaque recognizing them for outstanding achievement in the area of reducing food and non-food waste in their school lunch programs.

    Paul W. Oberg, CEO of Jeffers Foundation, will be in each of these schools during the month of May to present them with their awards and congratulate them for their outstanding effort in reducing waste in their schools.
