Closing Date: 05/07/2012 Hiring Agency: Education Dept Location: Roseville Who May Apply: Open to all qualified job seekers Posting Number: 12EDUC000004 Employment Conditions: Permanent, Full-time Work Shift: Day Shift Days of Work: Monday-Friday Travel Required: no Job Grouping: Health Care & Human Services Classified Status: Classified Job Description: This position exists to conduct Child and Adult Care Food Program (CAFP) and School Meal Program sponsor administrative reviews, school meal initiative reviews (SMI), Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)reviews and provide training and technical assistance to sponsors of federal and state Child Nutrition Programs in accordance with policies, regulations, and instructions set forth by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and federal and state laws; to represent the MDE and promote USDA School Nutrition Programs, CACFP and SFSP to stakeholders including public and private schools, private nonprofit social service agencies, community action agencies, Minnesota Service Cooperatives, colleges and universities.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications including education, licensure and certification shall be verified. To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job.
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Health/Public Health, Public Health Nutrition, or related field.
One year of professional level work experience in planning, implementation, training or administration of food and nutrition/health programs or USDA School Nutrition Programs/Child and Adult Care Food Program at the local, state or federal level.
