International Wolf Center

And the winners are...

The votes are in and the winning names are Boltz and Luna! Congratulations to Raylene Hampton who offered Boltz and Randy Austin who offered Luna. 1,371 names were submitted for the contest and 907 votes were cast between May 18 and June 1.

"I would like to thank everyone who participated in this long-standing tradition of involving the international community in naming our wolf pups," said Executive Director Rob Schultz.

To learn more about the rapid development of Boltz and Luna be sure to check out the wolf logs (http://www.wolf.org/wolves/experience/meet/AmbassadorWolves.asp), which are updated every week, and be sure to tune in to our new live streaming cams to see their daily progress. Of course, the best way to experience the wolf pups is to visit the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. The Center is now open seven days a week and features daily wolf pup programing.

The International Wolf Center advances the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands and the human role in their future.
