The Children & Nature Network's Natural Leaders is very excited to announce the opening of the application process for the Natural Leaders Network Legacy Camp. We are looking for youth leaders in your community who are focused on getting kids outdoors and want to inspire others to make a difference.
Twenty-four slots are available for young Americans to participate in the 2012 Natural Leaders Legacy Camp from August 31 - September 5, 2012 at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, with generous support from The North Face, the REI Foundation, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
ALL TRANSPORTATION, MEALS, LODGING, PROGRAM, AND MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.
The Natural Leaders Network (NLN) empowers a worldwide youth movement to reconnect children with nature. The NLN Legacy Camp provides participants with training and support. Participants will leave the camp with the skills necessary to unite their communities against Nature-Deficit Disorder, as well as become outings certified so they can help get their communities into nature.
For the NLN Legacy Camp, we are looking for young people age 18-29 who exemplify the following characteristics: action oriented, can-do attitude, adaptable, connector, creative, dedicated, dependable, energetic & enthusiastic, good communicator, honest, interested in the outdoors & working with a diverse team, passionate, positive, personable, respectful, responsible, self-motivated, self-aware, teachable, collaborator, altruistic, dares to be different, and aware of the needs of their communities.
