Instructor Development Series for Youth Educators - Panel Discussion: Working with Today's Youth

Date: Wednesday, April 4, 2012

Time: 6-8p
Location:
Wilderness Inquiry
808 14th Ave SE, Minneapolis

Primary questions:
  • What are the challenges facing youth AND youth educators today?
  • What are the needs of today's youth AND youth educators?
  • What approaches or techniques work well in supporting youth AND youth educators?
  • How can we further support youth AND youth educators in meaningful ways?

  • What:
To continue a collaborative effort among organizations and educators that supports our work with youth across the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, developing our abilities to connect with, teach, inspire, learn from and challenge young people - and each other!

Based in the belief that we can benefit from each other's experiences, we at Voyageur Outward Bound School hope that together we can be better. View these opportunities as a way to connect with good people, learn new techniques, hone old skills, and share your passions and techniques. If you become motivated to share your nuggets, building the Instructor Development Series (IDS) into a truly collaborative and mutually supported effort for years to come, let us know!

How: Sharing knowledge and experience, giving to the greater good.
When: Once a month usually in the evenings, for 2-4 hours/session.
Where: Gathering site will change throughout the metro area.
Fee: Sessions will be FREE! If people want goodies, we'll adjust.

*Pre-register for sessions, volunteer space to host a session, or offer to share your experience by contacting Tonia: tkittelson@outwardbound.org or call 651-292-1062.
