Energy and the Environment Camp (For educators, grades 6-12) Dates: Tuesday, July 31, 2012 - Thursday, August 2, 2012 When: July 31 -- Aug 2, 2012 Where: University of Minnesota, St. Paul with various site visits on bus Who: Educators, grades 6-12 Spend three days with Professor Curt Anderson exploring how you can bring more environmental education into your classroom. Energy & the Environment Camp introduces educators to the economic issues related to energy, environment, and sustainability. Classroom sessions are followed-up with site visits to an oil refinery, coal-fired energy plant, resource recovery facility and a wilderness experience. Registration fee is $60 and includes curriculum materials, continuing education units, refreshments, and lunch. Participating teachers will receive a stipend of $75 for the workshop. Six travel stipends of $235 are available for teachers residing outside the seven county Metro area. 20 hours of continuing education units available.
