Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer Training Course at Kroening Interpretive Center at North Mississippi Regional Park Dates: Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - Wednesday, November 28, 2012 We are pleased to offer the Minnesota Master Naturalist Big Woods/Big Rivers class right on the banks of the Mississippi River! Come learn about the plants, animals, history, geology and ecology of Minnesota's forests and waterways. You will gain valuable tools for exploring the natural world, and we will spend significant portions of each class outside practicing and honing those skills. Wednesday class times are 9:30 AM - 12 PM. This class includes two required field trips (dates below): one trip will give us an in-depth experience with the Big Woods; the other will be an accessible, day-long rafting trip on the Mississippi River including multiple stops to explore islands, test water quality, and learn about river animals.
