Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) suppresses
mosquito and tick transmitted diseases, and reduces
annoyance levels of mosquitoes and biting gnats in the
metropolitan area. In addition, MMCD provides information
to metro residents regarding these pests. MMCD maintains
a variety of communication tools including a speakers
bureau, printed information, CD ROM, video and library.
When citizens have knowledge of mosquito, biting gnat and
tick biology and behavior, they are better equipped to
deal with them in their own backyards.
