This is an area which provides SEEK users with an overview of environmental education in our state. Learn a little about the history of EE in Minnesota, check out the legislation, take a look at our state plan, and learn more about EE in Minnesota. The Minnesota Report Card on Environmental Literacy - As with all states and countries, Minnesota and its citizens are facing a number of important environmental issues. To be able to solve these issues, Minnesota needs an environmentally literate citizenry one that has knowledge about and attitudes toward the environment and the issues, which in turn may affect behaviors related to the environment. The Minnesota Report Card on Environmental Literacy documents the results of the first statewide survey concerning environmental literacy of adults in Minnesota. Environmental Literacy Scope and Sequence - This is a tool for educators that provides a systems approach to environmental education in Minnesota for preK through adult learners. It describes key concepts about the interaction of natural and social systems and a sequence in which they are to be taught. It also discusses benchmarks, standards, and applications for using the Scope and Sequence. A GreenPrint for Minnesota - Minnesota's state plan for environmental education is designed for environmental educators across the state that educate various audiences about environmental issues and topics. History - Articles about environmental education history Capacity building for EE in Minnesota - The Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistances (OEA) strategy to achieve the state goal of environmental literacy is to focus our work on "capacity building" for environmental educationdeveloping effective organizations and individual leaders in order to achieve comprehensive EE programs at the state, regional and local level. Environmental Education Advisory Board (EEAB) - The Environmental Education Advisory Board (EEAB) is the state board that guides the direction of environmental education in Minnesota. Minnesota Environmental Education Leadership Initiative - The Minnesota Environmental Education Leadership Initiative (MEELI) supports leadership-development opportunities for Minnesota's environmental education community.
