Canadian Journal of Environmental Education Seeking Papers on Emotions and Environmental Education - Deadline: November 1  Fear. Wonder. Compassion. Joy. Hope. We have long known that knowledge alone is insufficient to cultivate flourishing natural and human communities. Emotional dimensions of environmental learning may be key. The Rewilding Revolution: Growing Nature Lovers in the Big City  How can both humans and nature thrive? The solution may be "rewilding" - re-seeding with native plants. Although generally used to refer to big-scale conservation efforts to protect, restore, and connect wilderness areas, rewilding is equally applicable to cities and surrounding natural areas.  More info

Annual Teachers Conference Changes Name Officially Back to 'MEA'  Education Minnesota is reclaiming Minnesotans' long-held affection for the phrase and renaming its annual professional development conference the Minnesota Educator Academy, or MEA. The 2015 conference will be held October 15-16 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. If your organization offers resources for Minnesota educators, then consider exhibiting at MEA.  More info
